About Us

Double-Take Industries was founded in October of 2007 by Michael Montgomery as an extreme sports and apparel company. Currently, DTI provides high quality clothing and products with entertaining logos at affordable and competitive prices. DTI will expand into extreme sports by manufacturing skateboards and BMX bicycles. Eventually Double-Take Industries will support hobbies such as yo-yoing and magic by developing related products and through event sponsorships. DTI is adamant about supporting the events and organizations in our community through contributions and event sponsorships.

Hey there! My name is Michael Montgomery; I was born in California in January of 1990 and in 1994 moved to Emmett, Idaho to get away from the violence that was spreading throughout the state. I've been in Idaho most of my life now and I love it, it's a great state filled with great people who for the most part like to help out, not hurt, their fellow man. I got started developing business ideas when I was a little bit younger, 15 or so, and from there I haven't looked back. Double-Take Industries was my first business idea; I wanted to make humorous shirts that took two looks to get the joke, unfortunately these days coming up with a joke that is obvious enough but vague enough for a double-take is a little bit beyond our intelligence levels so I decided to focus the company on supporting extreme sports and hobbies, which seems to have been a good choice. Since our start in October of 2007 we've sponsored three events, the 2008 GCRD Spring Break Skate Competition, the 2008 Idaho State Yo-yo Championships, and the 2008 GCRD Fall Slam (skate comp). Now that I have moved to Pocatello, Idaho to attend ISU for a business management major I am looking for ways to support the local community and have decided on a few of the more obvious methods; we are going to support local clubs, youth organizations, and non-profit organizations with the production of high quality, yet affordable clothing for their needs; we are going to support local bands with the same service as well as event promotion in exchange for booth space at the event; we are also going to support local businesses that need small runs of shirts for branding purposes but can't justify using a high cost manufacture for a limited run of shirts. We are still in development and in some cases DTI is my baby, I'm helping it grow and become a force to be reckoned with along the way, but it's going to take time. If you have any questions you'd like to ask me don't hesitate to use my email or reach out to me on MySpace.
